Paris’Alana Jones, better known as Paris or “P,” is an energetic and scrappy guard from Newark, New Jersey, recognized for her versatility and high basketball IQ. She began her high school career at Newark Collegiate Academy before transferring to Union High School, where she graduated in 2022. As a senior, she averaged 12 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals per game.

Her passion and drive carried her to the collegiate level, where she became a 2023–2024 Region XV NJCAA Champion at SUNY Sullivan Community College. She then advanced to USCAA Division I Bryant & Stratton–Albany, averaging 13.5 points and 6 rebounds in just eight games before taking the next step in her career at Virginia University of Lynchburg.

Inspired by WNBA players Brittney Sykes and Shakira Austin, Paris brings energy, toughness, and leadership to every team she joins. Off the court, she enjoys content creation, thrifting, and community service, finding joy in uplifting others as much as competing on the hardwood.

She chose Virginia University of Lynchburg for the genuine connection she felt with Head Coach Walker and the opportunity to help build a strong foundation for a new program under great leadership. “My favorite thing about basketball is how it’s a constant game of runs that challenges a player mentally, physically, and spiritually,” she says.

With her love for the game and commitment to growth, Paris is ready to make her mark at VUL while continuing to inspire both on and off the court.
