November 15 will go down as a night to remember for Lady Dragons basketball!
After three long years, the Women’s Basketball team broke through thrillingly, earning a heart-pounding 79–78 overtime victory in an absolute barn burner against Clinton College.
And this was no ordinary win. Clinton College came in as the defending South Region Regular Season and Tournament Champions, a team that reached the National Final Four and finished the 2025 season ranked #3 in the nation. The stage was set—and the Lady Dragons rose to the moment.
Down eight points with just 1:27 left on the clock, the Lady Dragons refused to quit. With grit, heart, and relentless determination, they battled all the way back, forced overtime, and sealed one of the biggest wins in program history.
After facing a demanding non-conference schedule, the Lady Dragons now open conference play 1–0 and sitting alone at the top of the standings. This victory was truly a total team effort, but three standout performances deserve special recognition:
